Our 8073 square foot newly renovated Fitness Centre, with fully equipped gym and separate aerobics studio is ideal for a complete workout.

We offer a wide range of fitness programming for adults, youth and children. Our programs include aerobics and spinning for cardiovascular fitness; pilates, yoga and yogaletes for balance, core strength and flexibility; muscle sculpt and circuit programs for weight training! If it's personal training you are looking for, our certified personal trainers are available to assist you by designing a program to meet your individual needs.

Our Goal...
To create a positive fitness experience in a clean, well equipped and safe environment. We will strive to offer our Members quality fitness instruction, personal training and facility supervision.


All those using any areas of the facility must be dressed appropriately. For the fitness room, we kindly ask that those wear clean, indoor shoes. This will preserve the quality of the equipment and overall facility. Lastly, we ask that all those participating in any sport are dressed in the appropriate attire. Please no jeans, cut-offs or muscles shirts.

Age Policy

Children ages 12-14: Must have a fitness orientation or approval from the Fitness Director before using the gym.  They must also have a parent/guardian, 18 or older, with them and supervising them at all times.  The fitness orientation or approval must be completed before they can be booked into the gym/studio.

Children ages 15-17: Must have a fitness orientation or approval from Fitness Director before they can be booked into the gym/studio.

Children under the age of 12: Are not allowed to enter the gym/studio for any reason, unless they are training with a WWC employee.

Jeff Mitchell - Fitness Director

Jeff graduated from the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management in 2007.
Graduating as Kinesiology Graduate of the Year Jeff has always put emphasis on his education and continuing to learn and adapt as the industry grows and changes. Jeff has many years of personal training and health & fitness consultation experience working with a wide range of individuals.
Jeff has always been a committed athlete competing in a wide variety of sports from Hockey to Volleyball and everything in between, with his main love being for racquet sports. Jeff brings a friendly, positive attitude with him and is driven by a passion to help people live healthy & happy lives.

Meagan Wilson - Head Trainer

Meagan studied kinesiology at the University of Winnipeg and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT) and the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP-CPT). She holds specialty certifications in ViPR movement based strength training and is a Sport Strength Level 1 coach. Meagan has a sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology through 10 years as a Remedial Massage Therapist. She is also a Certified Yoga Instructor with over 500 hours of yoga teacher training and most recently completed 250 hours of Thai yoga massage training in Thailand.

Meagan is a student of everything movement based! She is always looking for ways to help optimize the lives of her clients. Her philosophy is “Movement is Life”. Through coaching Meagan hopes to educate, empower, and inspire people to engage in life through movement! Her goal with all her clients is to help them understand, challenge and balance their bodies so they can engage in the activities that feed their spirit!

She brings 20 years of experience and takes a multidisciplinary approach to training - focusing on technique and functional movement. She regularly upgrades her skills, attending yearly fitness conferences to learn the latest research and training methodologies. Meagan has a passion for travel and has been to Australia, Africa, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the USA. Her love of the world and believe in self-care and personal development guides her to travel yearly for retreat to study yoga and meditation. She strives to integrate modern science with Eastern practices. She believes that as we strengthen the body, mind and spirit we can start living in a way where lasting change is possible!  

Aimee Dugal 

Aimee has been with the Winnipeg Winter Club for over 3 years now, gaining a wide variety of experience and skills in large group classes, assessments and training with individuals.  Aimee is Certified in Group Fitness; Resistance Training; Older Adults and Personal Training.

Aimee has an incredible high level of energy, enthusiastic and commitment to her career.  With her passion to make fitness a positive experience for each participant, she does her best to connect with her clients to make their specific goals a reality. 

Barbara Newman

Barb has been one of our longest serving trainers here at the WWC.  Graduating in 1979 with a B.Ed.  degree, Phys Ed major, she has spent decades obtaining many fitness certifications and attending numerous conferences throughout North America.  Barb has a great deal of experience working with a wide range of individuals seeking a variety of health and fitness goals.  Barb is passionate about health and wellness and enjoys encouraging others.

Vincent Corbin

Vincent became a certified Personal Fitness Trainer in 2012 and has been gaining experience ever since. In 2013 he received his certification in TRX Team training. His history in training goes back much farther than 2012, having been involved in martial arts both as a student and instructor since 2006. Over the years Vincent has worked with people from all walks of life, from athletes and fighters to people that just want to make positive changes in their lives.

Vincent has a love for all manner of physical activity and believes that the most important components to creating a healthier lifestyles are discipline and consistency.
