Fitness Centre Age Policy
Children ages 12-14: Must have a fitness orientation or approval from the Fitness Director before using the gym. They must also have a parent/guardian, 18 or older, with them and supervising them at all times. The fitness orientation or approval must be completed before they can be booked into the gym/studio.
Children ages 15-17: Must have a fitness orientation or approval from Fitness Director before they can be booked into the gym/studio.
Children under the age of 12: Are not allowed to enter the gym/studio for any reason, unless they are training with a WWC employee.
If you have any other questions regarding the gym/studio regulations, please speak to Jeff Mitchell.
Fitness Centre Orientations
Be sure you know how to properly utilize a piece of fitness equipment and know what a certain machine can do for you.
Don’t get into bad habits or play the guessing game with your fitness routine, come down for a complimentary Fitness Centre orientation!

SPRING 2021 FITNESS PROGRAMMING HAS BEGUN!
We are very happy to see so many of you back at the WWC and engaging in our Fitness Programming.
Please see all the programming below that will be offered to start the month of May.
MONDAYS BRING THE HEAT!
Each Monday in May we will be offering 2 NEW classes with 2 amazing Instructors. Join The High Energy Cardio, Core and More class in the Studio with Aimee from 9:30 am - 10:30 am and the TRX Bootcamp in the Gym and Studio with Rich 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
TUESDAYS ARE FOR CORE, ALIGNMENT AND MORE!
Join Ruth from 9:30 am - 10:30 am in the Studio for Pilates and then visit the Club in the evening from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm for Yin Yang Yoga with Philip.
WEDNESDAYS BRING LOTS OF HIGH INTENSITY OPTIONS!
For the early risers we have Strength and Conditioning on ZOOM with Caitlin from 6:30 am - 7:30 am. Our in-person options include the Full Body Blast class in the Studio with Caitlin from 9:30 am - 10:30 am and The Circuit Circus in Gym and Studio with Vince from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
THURSDAYS CAN BE CALMING, RELAXING, REJUEVINATING OR FOR DANCING!
Lots of options for lots of ages, styles and levels on Thursdays this Spring. Flow Yoga in Studio with Meagan runs from 9:30 am - 10:30 am, with our “Forever 21” Active Living for Older Adults class running right afterwards in the Studio with Laura from 10:45 am - 11:45 am. Our evening options are here to get you a-moving and a-grooving, as Zumba in the Studio with Caroline runs 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
FRIDAYS ARE FOR FUN AND FITNESS!
Get into the Club early for our AM Bootcamp Blitz with Caitlin from 6:30 am - 7:30 am, followed by more mid-morning fun with Circuit Chaos, also with Caitlin, running from 9:30 am - 10:30 am.
Aimee’s popular Saturday Fitness Frenzy class will continue to run on ZOOM from 10:00 am - 11:00 am!
SATURDAY MORNING MOBILITY CLASS WITH MEAGAN IS BACK!
Please contact WWC Mobility Instructor, Meagan Wilson, to discuss options for joining the class. Class runs each Saturday from 11:15 am - 12:15 pm!

Did you know the WWC has a database of over 150 workouts online on our Youtube channel!? It’s true! We also continue to add new content weekly to our Youtube channel, so your workout options will only continue to grow.
HOW DO I FIND THE WWC YOUTUBE CHANNEL?
To find our Youtube channel, just search “Winnipeg Winter Club” on Youtube and click on the purple and white “W”. Then scroll through the last year of fitness content and pick your favourite class!
YOUTH ATHLETE PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR DOCTORATE STUDY WITH TRAINOR RICH!
Our very own trainer, Richard Sylvester, is currently working on his Doctorate and is looking for some WWC Youth Athletes to participate in the study:
- Need female participants, age 7-15. *Must be at least 7 when they start and can’t turn 16 during any point in the testing.
- Need to participate in a sport involving locomotion on the field or court of play, also involving periods of high impact.
- Need to commit to 90 minutes of time for 4 consecutive weeks. *Study would run on Sundays from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm, start date to be determined based on participants.
- Participants would all get an individualized “Testing Report” with pre and post testing.
- Participants would also get additional 1-on-1 training and individualized programs.

MASSAGE THERAPY AND ATHLETIC THERAPY ARE BACK!
