DOUBLES PLAY IS BACK!

With Phase 3, doubles badminton play is now allowed at the Club effective Sunday June 21st.  

  • Singles, and Doubles play is allowed at this time.
  • Doubles partners can be from different households.  Partners must remain the same during that booking.
  • A maximum of 4 partnerships can change opponents but must be booked on the adjacent court and remain in their partnerships.
  • No mixing of partners.
  • There will be no players waiting behind the courts to sub onto a court. 

Book a court between 30 - 60 minutes (back to back bookings are permitted) online or by calling the Front Desk at 204-452-3311.

TOWEL SERVICE
Effective Thursday June 18th, we resumed our towel service in our locker room.
Towels are available for showering and pool usage ONLY and are NOT permitted to leave the locker rooms.

MEMBER DECLARATION

Dear Valued Members,

 Thank you for taking the time to review our Winnipeg Winter Club Covid-19 member manual.  If you have not had the chance, please take the time to review it HERE
 
Before returning to the Club, you are required to sign off on a member declaration. 


There are two ways you can complete your declaration:

1) You can print and sign the declaration attached to this email and bring it in on your first visit to the Club. 
  or 
2) Complete your declaration online (using your court booking login)


To complete your online declaration, please click HERE and follow these steps:
a) Select Log In To Register
b) Read the Declaration
c) Click Register
d) Select SUBMIT to Complete your Declaration


There will be copies available at the entrance of the Club if you forget, however, to promote safe distancing, we ask that you review the declaration in your vehicle and sign off, then proceed back into the Club with your signed copy to gain access.   
 
We require 1 declaration per household.  If a member is 25 years of age or older, we ask that they sign their own declaration even if they live in the same household as other members.

The declaration MUST be signed by a parent or guardian for our members who are under the age of 18.

Thank you to all of our amazing and dedicated members who have supported us through the last week with all of the many procedures.  Many of you sent back your declarations extremely fast and have been booking in your visits to the Club.  We thank you for making this transition so easy.


BADMINTON
Head Badminton Professional Elliott Beals wants to remind our members of the Badminton Covid-19 Procedures.  Please refer to the Badminton procedures attached and be sure to abide by them.
 
A few important points:

  • Please refrain from touching walls and sitting on the floor before or after your match.
  • Please leave your racquet bag behind the court you are playing instead of the viewing area. This will eliminate leaving the courts until your match is done.
  •  Do not touch anything on and around the courts besides your own belongings. This includes the nets, entry door, netting, fencing, etc.

DEAR VALUED MEMBER


Welcome Back!  Congratulations to you and the rest of our province for their diligence in practicing the recommended measures to keep the COVID-19 numbers low in Manitoba.  It is because of this that our Club can open on Monday June 1st, 2020 at 6am.

Winnipeg Winter Club Regular Hours:
Monday to Friday: 6am - 10pm
Saturday/Sunday: 7am-9pm

Summer Hours: 
Monday to Friday: 6am - 10pm
Saturday/Sunday: 8am-4pm
Summer hours will begin Saturday June 27th, 2020

In order to return to the Club, we require you to do 2 things:

1) You MUST read the new Winnipeg Winter Club Covid-19 Member Manual found HERE this manual was created with the recommendations from Manitoba Public Health, department’s national and provincial organizations, our team’s input and shared information from other fellow private clubs.  Please take the time to review the important procedures for every area of our Club.

2) You MUST sign a member declaration before returning to the Club.  We will be emailing the link for the declaration tomorrow.  We ask that you sign off on the declaration online.  We will also attach a PDF of the declaration if you are unable to sign online.  You can print and sign the declaration and bring it in on your first visit to the Club.  There will be copies available at the front desk if you forget, however, to promote safe distancing in our main lobby, we ask that you review the declaration in your vehicle and sign off, then proceed back into the Club with your signed copy to gain access.   


Important Things Members need to know about Re-opening the Winnipeg Winter Club  

ALL members must social distance, also called “physical distancing” which means keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home.
To practice social or physical distancing:
Stay at least 6 feet/2 meters (about 2 arms’ length) from other people
Do not gather in groups


ALL members will be required to check-in at the front desk with NO exceptions.  You will show your member card to the receptionist, but not hand it over.  If you do not have a member card or have misplaced it, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ASAP, and they will make one in advance of your visit.  You will not be allowed entry into the Club without your member card.

NO water coolers will be  available.  Please come prepared with as many water bottled pre-filled that you require for your visit to the Club.

NO towel service available in the Fitness Facility or Locker Rooms until further notice.  Please bring your own towels to the facility and wash them after each use.

NO guests will be permitted into the Club until further notice. 

Thank you for your excitement in returning the Club, it warms our heart and fills us with pride that we have worked so hard over the last 10 weeks.  With diligence and safe practice, we are confident that we can provide a safe and happy workout environment for all of our members.
