We are into the second week of the new health orders and we'd just like to say thank you to everyone for doing their part!

9 FEET FOR NOW

One of the changes that came in last week was that all gym users must now maintain 3 metres or 9 feet distance between each other while in the WWC fitness facility. This relates to the whole fitness facility and includes all fitness classes.

FITNESS PROGRAMMING MAX CAPACITY CHANGES

Due to the new physical distancing restrictions there will be an impact on some of our classes and their max capacity. Please see the new max capacities for all our in person fitness classes below.

- Mondays at 9:30am with Aimee are now 6 people max.
- Mondays at 6:00pm with Rich are now 8 people max.
-Tuesdays at 9:30am with Ruth are now 6 people max.
-Tuesdays at 6:00pm with Philip are now 6 people max.
- Wednesdays at 9:30am with Caitlin are now 5 people max.
- Wednesdays at 6:00pm with Vince are now 8 peopel max.
- Thursdays at 9:30am with Meagan are now 8 people max.
- Thursdays at 10:45am with Laura are now 6 people max.
- Fridays at 6:30am with Caitlin are now 8 people max.
- Fridays at 9:30am with Caitlin are now 8 people max.

Earlier this week the province announced some new health orders and a couple of them affect our Fitness Area here at the WWC.

ZUMBA NOW ON SEASONAL HIATUS

Our Thursday 6:00 pm Zumba class in now on break with it hopefully returning in the Fall session. We would like to thank Instructor Caroline for all her hard work and we hope to have her and Zumba return in the Fall!

 

We have been very happy to see so many of you returning to your normal routines with many of our classes reaching max capacity in recent weeks. Programming will remain the same as the last few weeks with any changes to be communicated through our weekly newsletters.

Our Athletic Therapists are here to help you with any body issues you may be having. Regardless of if it is a sports injury or a chronic issue that is keeping your from feeling great, our ATs are here to help you get back into your best shape. We are still offering Massage Therapy at the Club and things have been heating up lately with many bookings coming in. LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER IN THE DOCTORATE STUDY WITH TRAINER RICH!

Our very own trainer, Richard Sylvester, is currently working on his Doctorate and is looking for some WWC Youth Athletes to participate!

Please read the following criteria to see if you qualify to participate in the study:
- Female participants ages 7 - 15. *Must be at least 7 when they start and can’t turn 16 during any point in the testing
- Needs to be participating in a sport involving locomotion on the field or court of play and involving in periods of high impact
- Needs to commit to 90 minutes of time for 4 consecutive weeks. *Study would run on Sundays from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm, starting April 18th, 2021
- Participants will get an individualized "Testing Report" with pre and post testing
- Participants would also get additional 1-on-1 Training and Individualized program
