Alana Miller Finishes Second

Winnipeg’s Alana Miller finished second at the Sun & Surf Jericho Open squash tournament in Vancouver after a five-set final with Latasha Khan.

The American won the first two sets 11-8 and 11-7 before Miller regrouped with 14-12 and 11-2 wins to force the fifth set, which Khan captured 11-7.

“There are a lot of positives I’m going to take away from this tournament,” Miller said in a press release.

Miller sat out the last seven weeks to rest a nagging hip injury and was playing her first tournament since placing second at the Canadian Squash Championship.

Alix Younger was also in Vancouver competing at the BC Honda Sun and Surf Squash Fever. Alix won the Open event - Congratulations.
